Howard Gross manages the Firm's business and real estate practices, serving as General Counsel to many of the Firm's clients. In these roles, Mr. Gross addresses day-to-day business requirements, including supplier and customer relations and transactions, employment matters, real estate and equipment leasing and purchasing, asset based lending and secured financing transactions, and sales, acquisitions, and mergers. In addition, Mr. Gross counsels closely held businesses regarding their entity formation, ownership arrangements, and succession issues.
Mr. Gross is also an experienced real estate attorney, providing counsel in all aspects of complex real estate transactions, including the leasing, purchasing, selling, and exchanging of real property. He regularly handles matters relating to the use and development of real property, including land use, zoning, construction and environmental matters, and exempt and taxable industrial development revenue bonds and conventional financing.
Mr. Gross is a founding member of the Long Island Housing Partnership, a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide affordable housing for Long Island's work force. He served as pro bono counsel to the organization since its inception in 1987 until 2018.
Mr. Gross is admitted to practice in New York (1975) and Florida (1976), and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, Suffolk County Bar Association, the Florida Bar, and New York State Bar Association. Mr. Gross received his Juris Doctorate degree from New York Law School in 1974.
